This is the 6" version of our twisted snaffle training bit. The extra length allows you to work the bit back and forth in the horse's mouth to lighten him. On some horses this lets you accomplish get more done with less pressure.

6" snaffle super training aid
after using the 6" twisted wire snaffle, I ordered a second one. I have been able to help my horse to drop his head by sliding this bit back and forth in his mouth. In addition, I use it to "check in" with him from time to time to make sure he's attentive to me. The bit has nice weight to it and sends a clear signal when I pick up the reins that I will be asking him to do something, and more importantly when I release them, he gets immediate feed back that he has done what was asked of him and as a reward he got the release.
