This bit has a double swivel mouth piece with some tongue pressure and it’s one of the few mouthpieces in the industry that are designed to work from that pressure point. There are six pressure points within a horse's mouth. If you’re having trouble, it probably means he's gotten too familiar with the pressure points your current bit is contacting, and he’s lost respect for it. So to change the response you’re getting, you just have to change pressure points. Then you almost get to start over with a new mouth – it’s good for both of you.

Besides giving you access to a new pressure point, the Collector has a double swivel mouthpiece and is very flexible. I really like it. It’s not a hot bit in terms of mouth power. It’s the middle of the road.
